Happy World Card-Making Day!

So I got on the bandwagon pretty late for World Card-Making Day, but I needed to make a birthday card for my cutie niece Taylor who is having a birthday party today!! Where have four years gone? I love her so, so much, and I will admit I am VERY fond of her love of all things girly + pink! She is my little girly-girl pal! =)

Thus all the glitter & pink & jeweled crowns!

St. Joe Love

So my parents love vacationing around the St. Joe area...and my mom and I make a trip every time to do some shopping downtown in St. Joe...we're big fans of the small town charm + cute downtown stuff - we scored several fun finds!

I saw the back of this shop and it had these beautiful vines and white-chipped-paint walls - can we say photo prop?!This might be our favorite shop...but it was SO hot inside it was almost unbearable...the air was broken - I did score some really cute necklaces anyways...

I'm a big fan of mega-sunglasses...what do you think?

Gift Idea

Seriously, this was another ten minute craft that I love so*so*so much - a little Webster Pages trim, American Crafts felt embellishments with magnets glued on the back and some letter stickers - voila - interchangeable photo decor... What do you think? I scored the metal fram for $5 at Hobby Lobby on clearance - it's currently in my living room! =)

Used a simple blocking style to use up some favorite Dear Lizzy scraps...trying to use every, single Dear Lizzy thing I own up, apparently! =) Super simple, kinda "fluffy" page...but I like it!

Thru Your Eyes...

A while back, I kept Taylor & Tori at a kickball tournament that Bryan, Melissa, and Adam were all in...Taylor wanted to be the photographer and took some really cute photos...including this one of me and Tori and the bottom one of Tori's pretty fingernails (for which she told Tori, "Ok, Tori, now lay your hands out really pretty..." - haha, how sweet!). Super simple page = words + pictures!

Econfina Beauty

Got together with some friends and went for a canoe ride down Econfina...Seriously, so, so beautiful.Lots of springs to explore...And these two cute little ducks came SO close to my canoe... There was also rope swings, a little swimming and lots of eating involved...but no pictures of that!

Belated Birthday!

So, quite belatedly, I would like to point out that I have had another birthday and am now over all the "young" birthday milestones (you know, 16, 18, 21)...it's kindof sad, but true. I am now twenty-two. Haha, I just said that because it rhymes!

Sadly, I had a very busy weekend (which equates to = I studied all night and day all weekend long) but I had a fun birthDAY at work with lunch with the ladies and this yummy ice-cream cake. Yay for ice cream cake! =) And here's to a less busy birthday weekend next year....

Hair Adornments

So, for Camp Meeting, I made a few nautical colored hairbows to match my outfits...seriously, this is a ten minute craft - Fabri-Tac + clothespins + bobby pins/headbands + felt/ribbon scraps....so easy...first up, a simple red bow...Then a kind of mosh-posh red white and navy headband...Which looks cuter on my head....although I can not to save my life take a good "side of the head with cute headband in" shot...Then, my favorite...a navy ribbon bow with a felt American Crafts detail embellishment glued to the center...

Pink + Green Prep!

It's random, but I always associate the color combo of pink + green with the word "preppy." Haha! And a polo with a flipped up color...anyways, made two little cards with this color combo...lots of yummy GCD Studios Artsy Urban on this one...which, by the way, the Homespun Chic paper pads are available now at Hobby Lobby if you happen to like them! Presley's Baby Shower Album

First off, sorry these pictures are so blurry...barely remembered to take pictures! This was the baby shower album I made to follow up Presley's baby shower...

This was the sign we hung on the door: also, the opening page with all the pertinent information + sonogram pictures! This has some detail shots and the baby shower party crew...

Then, there were several pages like this with advise cards (filled out by guests) and coordinating pictures...Then the closing page...

I kept the whole thing VERY simple because of my very busy schedule and sometimes, I think just having a book that is DONE versus a book that is very fancy and never gets completed, is definitely better...need to apply that to my scrapbooking philosophy...

Yikes!

So I've been MIA...for a long time. I superficially feel bad about it, but honestly, blogging is not as high of a "priority" (haha, I am using that very loosely) as you know...going to church, working, studying, spending time with my hubs, and having a clean house...the later two of which my success rate seems pretty slim anyways on a good day (at least right now)...sigh!

Hard to find a good balance! Anyways, a few posts are scheduled with some VERY simple crafty things (I get about 10 minutes every week or so of "free time")...haha!

But for today, here's some long overdue pictures from my mama's birthday...
A nice lady took a picture of the whole family!Taylor was VERY excited to help open the gift + card...I got my mama a photobook from Shutterfly...it turned out really cute!I love nap time pictures...She only wanted Uncle Adam and her mama...NOT Auntie Amber...she was so tired and NOT ready to get up!

It was a very good day. I love being together with family even though it seems so far and in between these days!! Can not wait until I have less on my plate!! =)
