Recipe/Note Holder
So this is the Mother's Day craft I promised that I am about a month late in posting! Haha! It's a *little* time consuming but only if you make a gazillion like I did...
Paint small terracotta pots on the outside, and little wooden kabobs or skinny popsicle sticks green. While that's drying cut out or find foam, stiff fabric or flower shaped stickers for your flowers. Glue mini clothespins to the back of the dried green sticks, and glue a chunk of foam (obviously doesn't have to be prettily cut!!) to the bottom of your pots.
Whew. That was the hard parts...then assemble flowers and glue/stick/etc. to the front of the "stems"
And glue/pin fluffy boa stuff to the top of the foam to cover it up. Cut out little hands (I used my Cricut) and gather bright stickers for children to decorate hands with...once completed use the clothespin to attach the hands to the flowerpots!
And an example of a finished one:

Easter Recap!
Thanks for being patient - or not so patient, depending on who you are - with the lack of blog posts....tax season is finally over and the catch up posts are in full swing, as are my creative endeavors - lots of fun stuff headed to blogland. But first, a recap of Easter and a cute, easy DIY hair accessory.
This was the dear hubby & me Easter morning:
I didn't have time to shop for anything new, so I shopped my closet for something springy...and instead, made a new matching hair accessory...
I took a doily from Sweet Vintage and a strip of the cute Dear Lizzy fabric paper, and pleated the self-adhesive fabric paper into a circle and stuck it to the doily. I then grabbed a giant button out of my stash and sewed the button and the whole ensemble onto a bobby pin at the same time. Voila...quick and easy...Wednesday, December 23, 2009
WAaaaAaa!
My husband is VERY sad that I have neglected my blog for almost a week....
But very happy I am updating now!
And REALLY happy that the presents have been bought and wrapped (by his wife), the practices and parties and activities have all been attended, the goodie baskets baked and passed out, all the handmade presents finished, and probably, most of all....that his wife is still sane (haha!)...or maybe it's that giant present with his name on it under the tree? Who really can know?!
Really, though, we wish you a very Merry Christmas...may Jesus be in the very center of everything you do in the next two days! =)
It is apparent to me from the picture above that I need to lay off the rice krispies...right after Christmas! =D

Thanksgiving Pictures...A Little Late?
Haha, so I'm all decorated for Christmas but I realized I haven't posted any Thanksgiving pictures...so here they are! We went to my side of the family for Thanksgiving this year, and both sets of my grandparents were there, which was really fun! (On a random note, I have no idea what's up with my hair in these pics...I guess I need a haircut!)
