Quick Post!!

Updates on vacation and scrapping adventures to come soon...but today it's all about babysitting the adorable, wonderful Miss Taylor! Pictured above with Adam at Christmas...they both wore matching velvet for Christmastime - and I really need to scrap this picture!! Too cute!! Also, here's a few pictures of random projects of mine:

A mini album consisting of recycled tags off clothing and other items...so easy, and GREEN!

In a creative slump? So was I, until I made these simple little tags... great way to boost your creativity or get you to look at things in another way, plus it's a smaller canvas so you don't get so overwhelmed! Just pick a few products and roll!

A few of my "older" '06 layouts: "Abbi" & "Our Sweet Beginning"

In honor of school starting around the U.S., here is a little gift I made my sister-in-law as she started teaching her first class last year - a couple of cards and some individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies for the kids...yum!

Off to wake the sleeping beauty!

Cards & Birthday Pictures

A couple pictures from Tuesday Dinner - the star of the show and my official present-opener, Miss Tay.
Treated myself to birthday breakfast - Chick-fil-A Minis...MMMMMM! Some cards I made recently - one for a friend going through a difficult time, the other two for friend's birthdays. Quick & easy style:

Some Martha Stewart favorites popping up around my house: pink polka coasters (from WALMART!) and felt doilies (also from Wal-Mart!) I think these coasters would make such a cute mini book, I have big plans for them! =)

More projects to come this week (I'm idly spending my week in a hotel room whilst Adam is going to training! Time to post, create, and watch the Olympics...yay!)

Happy Birthday & Some Inspiration

Today is my birthday so there! Yesterday we had a ton of people over (translation - I cleaned, ran errands, locked my keys in my car, slaved over the stove and after 15+ people ate dinner, I cleaned some more) in honor of my birthday and Joel's birthday (Adam's BF) whose birthday was actually yesterday. It was really fun. I love cleaning and cooking for the most part (I just hate vaccuuming!) and I got some beautiful presents.

Plus, my favorite two princesses - Miss Taylor and Miss Tori were there in full beauty and excitement - made my day. I'll post some pictures soon. =)

I have a ton of creative pictures to share (as well as birthday photos) but since I'm short on time this morning, I will leave you with a little inspiration:

Amy Tan

I am making a little scrapbook wall art clothesline and I really want to do something along this theme for one of the pages...so cute.

Pictures to come from the big twenty year old!

A Beginning

Lots of things have been happening around here - I got married in May, am finishing up summer semester at college, and working part time....have resulted in lots of cleaning, settling in, decorating, homework, etc.

Sadly, there hasn't been much time for scrapbooking. HOWEVER...since Wilna Furstenberg is part of two great challenges at Creative Therapy and ScrapinStyle, I broke out the supplies and whipped out a couple of layouts "just for fun." Wilna also has some downloadable (and adorable!) little birdies that she painted in her challenge at SisTv, plus she is hosting a RAK giveaway for those readers who post to both challenges...exciting, and a real plus to help you create!

The whole process was really extremely delightful (I've missed the creative outlet!)...although, looking at my house now, I am mildly concerned how I am going to get everything done before my darling hubby comes home today...oh well! =)
Hope you all have a blessed day...and go work on those challenges!!
