Grandma + a Trip to the Strawberry Farm = Berry Sweet!

A few weeks ago, when my mom was in town for the weekend, we decided to go strawberry picking with Taylor & Tori...in cheesy, scrapbooker Auntie Amber style, I bought them matching strawberry shirts from Target...haha!But seriously, is that too cute or what??!We looked at all the animals around the farm...Taylor demonstrating how big the peacock's tail gets...though it refused to show off for us...They both recognized the turkey as Uncle Adam has been teaching them all thing turkey (we have a turkey decoy they play with and he even lets them (with careful supervision) try to do his turkey calls)........On to the strawberries!Tori liked eating them much, much better than finding them...can you tell?This is pretty much what her mouth looked like the whole time...haha!After we picked the strawberries, we went back for a quick peek at the animals again...hoping the peacock would spread its feathers. All of the sudden Tori starts saying over and over "Aw, look at the baby peacock!" I thought she was talking about the turkey hens one pen over, but my mom helped me understand that she actually meant...the peacocks poop! (which truthfully, did sort of resemble a baby bird type shape...hahahaha!)

Then it was off to Auntie Amber's to spend the night - and sprinkler fun!

It really was a very, very fun day. :)

Happy Birthday Megan!

Well, I am way, way behind on posting so many things, but I am trying to just do it whenever I have time, so...up next - Meg's birthday. We ate at Capt Anderson's (yum, yum!) and went putt-putting. Then we had a little family cupcake tasting party and opened Megan's present..Lemon, Death by Chocolate, and my favorite, Peanut Butter... Okay, if you insist, one more shot of the cupcakes.

Tori turns THREE!

A few weeks ago (!!!!! How the time flies!) we went to Tori's 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up!I ironed on "Chunky Monkey" onto the back of her monkey shirt her mama bought her...it was so cute. She loves her Uncle Adam!

PS - my husband likes kids + baby. A lot. And talks about any kid/baby he sees. How cute, how funny, how sweet, etc. Some might call it baby fever. I prefer to not be that intense. I just call it kid-likability. :)

Headbands & Cupcakes

These two little munchkins love wearing Auntie Amber's headbands when they come over. It's usually one of the first three sentences upon coming into the house...

"Auntie Amber, can we wear your pink fluffy (or glitter, or black flower or whatever they fancy) headband?"

"Why, yes, you can!"

On this particular day, our activity was making cupcakes...each with a gazillion sprinkles. Vanilla for Taylor, chocolate for Tori.

Then, when it came time to work on Tori's set of cupcakes, she said "Are we done with cupcakes?" I said "Do you want to be?" (Taylor loudly chimes in - NO!) but Tori said "Yes, I am done. Taylor can do mine." (Taylor was happy about this!!! Though I was a little baffled - seriously, when did she stop loving to decorate cupcakes?!) The next thing I know when I went to check on her she had snuggled up with Uncle Adam on the couch. (Guess how happy that made him that she chose HIM over cupcakes?!) :) She came back in about 10 minutes to finish up the decorating...but it was so sweet!

Tori is a published lady!

So a couple of months ago, a layout of Tori that I had submitted for publication finally came out it print. It is always very exciting to be published BUT, the best part was her cute little face when she saw herself in a magazine! It's me!

Then, after all the excitement, she proceeded to throw up all over the Dairy Queen floor. Poor little baby!
