Passing the CPA Exam!

So..trying hard to get back on the blog train with some pre-posts at least...but with the exam, moving, and then Christmas, I am so out of the groove! I have a ton of things to post, though, so I am really hoping to get at least a few posts up with some "happenings"...first things first though, I passed the CPA exam. Yaaaay! Yaaay! YAAAAY! =) And the sweet ladies at my work threw me a little CPA celebration DAY...
Balloons & a sweet card!!
Lunch at Olive Garden...yum yum! Lasagna, soup & breadsticks! Then later in the afternoon, we had a cupcake party! Yummmm!
Hello adorable cupcakes!!
And my favorite - a yummy peanut butter cupcake!
Passing the CPA exam really was one of my top five happiest life moments...!!!!!!

Christmas Eve Eve!

This year, we did the girl's Christmas at our house on Christmas Eve Eve!! Usually we do it with my parent's but the scheduling didn't work out right, so we did it separately this year...we started out the night with pizza and some blue (pixie stick + blue koolaid) tongues!!Then we quickly progressed to PRESSSEEEENNNTTSS!Look at these happy faces!! There were lots of cute outifits (that Uncle Adam thought were fun to throw on Tori's head)...
And princess LIPGLOSS!Which they slathered on quickly, and then wanted to kiss Uncle Adam...
He was game with kisses, but when Tori tried to apply lipgloss to Uncle Adam, he sadly had to draw the line and sweetly inform them, that "boys don't wear lipgloss!"
So he got more kisses instead!
(All part of the girls plan to lipglossify Uncle Adam!!)
The best presents were of course, matching princess, pink, glittery, heartified scooters for each of them.
Tori LOVED putting her lipgloss in the front bag, zipping it up, scooting two feet, stopping, unzipping her pouch, re-applying her lipgloss, and repeating...over, and over. It was SO, so, SO funny and cute! Then Taylor wanted to put on one of her new shirts and told Tori that if she wanted to look pretty too, she (Taylor) would help her (Tori) put on her new shirt, too! Haha! So Tori put on her new shirt too and we took pictures!
They then proceeded to play with all of my shatterproof ornaments and rearranged them until it was time to go. Merry Christmas to my two sweethearts!! Uncle Adam & Auntie Amber loooove you!
p.s. This post begins my recap of Christmas festivities...stay tuned, much more to come!

This is a fun, fun card, that made me happy to make - lots of little punched circles with added little goodies... I especially love the little silhouette face sticker!

Thanks for stopping by! Amber

Celebrating...

Boy, it's been a long time. I have been so busy studying and soon, we will be moving and the combined effect of those two items along with a full-time job and life responsibilities...well, you know how it goes, the less necessary things take a back-burner...I do have quite a bit of things stored away to share on here...whenever I get a chance! Hopefully soon, as this Tuesday will be my last CPA test IF I pass, which I sure hope I do!!!! I have put a lot of time and prayers into the entire CPA testing experience and would be SO grateful if I can conquer and be done. I actually like learning, but the whole balance life and full-time studying is kindof just tough.

Anyways, this card today is back from a month and half ago or more for one of my co-workers who celebrated a birthday... And of course the matching envelope...
There was another co-worker with a birthday close by and we celebrated them together...someone had gotten her a storebought card, but I "embellished" the front of her envelope too to match! Ha...reminds me of my highschool days when I "matched" all my clothes, socks, undergarments, purses, and hair accessories. Oh, those good ol' carefree days when I had all that TIME!
Hope you have a great weekend! See ya (hopefully) soon!

Taylor's 4th Birthday

Taylor-Bug turned four at the beginning of October...it is hard for my mind to reconcile myself to the fact that she is FOUR...crazy to think about, really...but true. She had her party at Pump-It-Up and had a BLAST... Got toooons of presents...
Sat on a giant inflated throne and had an inflated crown and scepter!
She held up all her presents like this so we could take pictures...it was SO adorable...also, I want my attempt to meet her requirements for a birthday shirt...she wanted it to have a "crown and say 'birthday girl' on it" - she knows what she wants!
This little booger was being very sweet & loving at the beginning of the party.. The board at Pump-It-Up for Taylor's birthday...
Isn't Melissa's shirt so cute & girly?!
The birthday girl with her cousin...
The party room...
Princess Taylor sure is getting grown up! It makes Auntie Amber a little sad, but happy that she is still such a helpful, sweet girl and that she still loves giving good hugs and yummy kisses!

Hope you have a "sweet" day! Amber

You Did It!

My dear friend (and mama to my two FAVORITE girls) ran her first half-marathon recently (please interpret this to mean within the last two months since um, I haven't even blogged in a MONTH!!!!) I made this quick & simple signs for the girls to hold up as she ran across the finish line...
And here's one brief shot of mama before the race! She did really great and we were all very proud of her...and has since already ran another half-marathon.
In other news, sorry I've been so mia...life has just been crazy - lots and lots of studying, cleaning, working, etc. You know, normal life stuff...hopefully I'll be back to semi-regular posting soon...

Vacation Pictures

Belated, oh so belated. But anyways, here is a recap of the rest of our mini-vacation back on Labor Day weekend...

There was scalloping...

And cooking...

And random, blurry antique store mirror pictures...
And chocolate?
And beautiful sunsets...
And tiny sand crabs...
And lots of together time, which of late, has seemed rather rare...

=) Isn't it amazing to be able to take pictures to help you remember? I, admittedly, am a crazy picture-taker. And I love being able to look back on all 1,400 of my vacation photos. Ha!
