Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was a little homesick...very first Thanksgiving away from my family...but overall full of love and thankfulness to God for His mercy and grace, longsuffering and patience, and for His many, many blessings.
Today, I woke up at 3:30 and SHOPPED TIL I DROPPED. Actually, I shopped and Christmas decorated until just now, when I dropped into the dining room chair. =)
Got some great, happy deals and a good portion of my Christmas list knocked out. Now on to wrapping!
Enjoy your holiday weekend! I'll be enjoying mine!

=)
Rough day yesterday, but even then, I still have such a happy heart. Thanks only to the Lord. He is such a comfort and help in the time of trouble, in those dreary, frustrating, cry-your-eyes out moments. It's like a cloak of peace and warmth comes over me, just talking to Him. He truly is my best friend, my dearest confidante. And I love Him immensely.
As promised, some crafty little cards:
Have a very, very Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun + Sad.
So the FSU game was so, so fun. Some friends of ours invited us, plus itwas blackout night and that was so awesome..the whole stadium was black, the uniforms were black, the cheerleaders uniforms were black. Really fun concept. We, of course, were black also!
are a bunch of embellies...stickers, mini alphas, buttons and flowers. Sigh. It has lots of pieces of ledger paper and blue and pink gorgeousness. I got it from Michaels and it has a chipboard artisan edge cover. I am making one for me (and for a gift!) Go check it out at your local Michaels! =)
Have a wonderful day! =)

Krystal actually knew the yellow glittered guy from high school, so we were able to get a picture! It's such a small world. See the blackout glittered guy?! =)
You may be thinking? So what's the sad part?
Well, we lost. Again. Sigh. Sad, sad sigh. It really is sad, but on the other hand, we really did have a great time! =)
On a scrapping note, I bought the CUTEST Making Memories calendar (I looked for a picture, but can't seem to find one) But the pages are already patterned paper designs, and then there
Have a wonderful day! =)

Slight Change of Plans
After a grueling week of intense studying, I think I passed (I know it had to be the LORD...I give Him all the glory!) So I know I was banking on having some "free time" today (post-test) to scrap some things...I'm making these adorable calendars for Christmas gifts (see BasicGrey kit below), working on my November Jenni Bowlin kit (it is so lovely!...can't want to share!), and some "general" new stuff I am dying to play with.
But we somehow managed to get tickets to the FSU game tonight (it's blackout night!) and I have decided to just rest and pray/read my Bible for the two hours before we leave.
Have a peaceful, restful weekend! Amber

Stuuuudying.
Sigh. Yes, it is that time again. The enormous weight of studying incessantly for a week is once again upon me. SO, SO ready for Thanksgiving break...and my glorious three week Christmas break. So, not much from me for a while! =) Look for some new crafty stuff Saturday!

Cookie Baking!
Well, I am not actually cookie baking, but I am compiling my Christmas Baking List! Martha Stewart's "Cookie of the Day" website is really delightful. I am doing other things as well, brownies, peppermint sticks, peanut butter crunches, but I want to do quite a few different cookies to put in the OH-SO-CUTE cookie boxes that Wilna made for the 30 Days to a Homemade Holiday class....check out these cookies...mmm!
Have a wonderful day! Amber

Thoughts on the Election
As a Pentecostal, Bible-believing young person, some observations during our election season:
1. People will do what they want, no matter what. It is in our nature and it is simply what we do. No surprises there.
2. We have been dully warned - change is coming, and now change is here.
3. Unlike any election ever before in the history of America, the platform has been entirely engulfed in charisma and eloquence and pushing historical boundaries more than issues and debates and experience.
4. People across the entire world have swooned over Obama.
5. I believe, according to the Bible, the end of time is very near. I pray for mercy and grace on all Americans - for you, for me, for those I love and hold dear, for our new president, for our members of Congress, for our judges and state attorneys - for wisdom to all who will receive it. I love this great country, but to turn our back on Biblical foundations would be a great mistake for any individual, president, congress, or country. Be not deceived.
I'm sorry if you don't agree with me, but I had to get it off my heart.

Today's To Do List
1. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!*
2. Back Up Pictures**
3. Deposit Adam's Check
4. Clean Out Refrigerator
5. Laundry
6. Computer Project
7. Financial Project
8. Bonefish Project
9. Obligatory Obligations***
What I would really like to do is clean out my garage and reorganize the spare bedroom. But it looks like I'm already booked...as per usual!
Hoping to post some pictures later this afternoon! =) Ya'll have a fantastic day! Amber
*I couldn't justify waiting in line to vote early when I could vote the day of with a five minute wait. So I waited to vote until today. Get out there and vote today, it is SO important!
**Because our computer is totally hosed up with massive picture files. It is not even funny!
***Sigh. SIGH! Sigggggghhhhh. (Huffing does not make it "better" but it does seem to make it slightly more bearable!)

Peanut Festival Update!
So! I won first place in the pets and birthday divisions (the "Taylor & Shadow" page and the "Enjoy your Birthday" below) and honorable mention on the Honeymoon page. The scrapbook division has really grown from last year...it was HUGE! The Festival itself was really fun as well, we ate roasted sweet corn, corn dogs from the famous Corn Dog Man, dippin' dots, pizza, all kinds of tasty fair food! Adam only played two games (I am a stickler about games...they are very expensive and your chances of winning are usually very slim) and HE WON something at both of them....this GIANT tiger and bat. I kept saying, "Oh, don't spend five dollars on that, there's no way you can win..." haha, he just had to prove me wrong.
So it was really fun. Pictures soon!
On another note, I bought some great stuff on Ebay from this woman...and found out, she is the owner of twogirlzstuff Etsy shop! She really did a GREAT job shipping my stuff ASAP and included a lot of extra freebies...which is always so exciting and fun. Here are some pictures below:
Have a terrific day! Amber
