GCD Studios Blog Hop Day 3!!

Hello again! You're almost at the end of the blog hop...hope you've been enjoying yourselves! =) We're showing off GCD Studios Sunny Days line today...here's what I made!

I'm pretty fond of this little frame (I made it to match my living room and have it sitting on one of my tables). I love making these messy, frilly flowers. So much fun. Plus, they're easy to make...just cut gradually larger circles (use different scissor blades to get different effects...my favorites are pinking shears and scallop edged scissors)...crumple up, then smooth out. Out a brad to keep the circles together and fluff up the way you want them to look. So easy! =)

GCD Studios Blog Hop Day 2!!!

Hello everyone! It's day two of the GCD Studios Blog Hop! (Yay!) And today, we're featuring my favorite collection - Party It Up...beware, I made a TON of stuff with this collection, it's just so irrestible! =)

First up, I made a fun "Love" Banner...each little heart has some some of different scallop decoration...and the ribbon I used to string it up with has glitter polka dots, which really adds to the whole polka dot emphasis! =)
And a few quick cards...the first one was for my Mom's Birthday this past weekend! Happy Birthday Mama! =)
And lastly, another mini album. This one is far less complicated than yesterday's mini album but I am thrilled with the simple-ness of it. I took a chipboard album, and covered the pages in Party It Up paper, and sanded the edges down. I printed out pictures in the same size and adhered one to each page and added computer journaling under each picture. I added extra journaling to the back! Easy and simple!

More Hairbows...Hee Hee!

Since I made so many hairbows for the shower, I've been bringing ribbon along with me and making extras whenever I'm waiting at the bank or wherever. I found this delightful glittery dot ribbon thats wired and it makes the prettiest little bows (you can't see the glitter very good in these pictures...but it's really pretty!)

And I finally found a great use for all that wedding ribbon I had acquired a few yards of...

Baby Shower Fun!

I made an small (ha!) ARMY of these hairbows (2+ of each style) for my friend's baby shower...so much fun! I love making little girl baby things...especially hairbows! =) The Mama-To-Be and Melissa & Taylor...
And with my cutie-pie Mama...
Some of the decorations...
And a special thanks to Adam's Aunt & Uncle for making this BEAUTIFUL baby buggy! Everyone loved it! (Love you two!!)
Oh, and Adam sent me an email a day or two ago to type in "Watermelon Art" in Google...I did and you should too...it's awesome all the cool things you can do with Watermelons! =) (My in-laws are watermelon farmers, so that makes all things watermelon-related verrrry interesting!)

Baby Card!

Just a quick card for today...all American Crafts except for the little heart brads (Hobby Lobby) and the stamps (BasicGrey & JoAnns)...I'm so in love with the embossing powder from American Crafts...it's so cool. It's on clearance now, and I picked up a couple bottles...such a nice, raised feeling.
Hope you have a fantastic day! =)

Scalloping Fun!

Met up at my parent's house and I forcefully requested some pictures...
Then we got there and Daddy's motor got overheated, so Trevor and I rode around to get my parents...and Trevor's boat towed us all back to our little "hole."

Unfortuanately, our hole wasn't hopping, so we started driving around...and Adam found this guy...

I had never seen one of these before (actually, only my Dad had) and Adam wanted to keep it and eat it, but ultimately, we decided to wait and research HOW to eat it, before we keep one...

We kept him in a bucket of water and he kept trying to escape!!

We stayed in the boat and read and napped and took pictures (lots & lots)...we had seen a very large shark in very shallow water earlier and I was a bit scared to get out in *Shark Territory*...haha...I'm a scaredy-cat, it's true! =)

The guys scalloped their hearts out though...and had a LOT of yummy scallops to prove it.

My dad is a master scallop shucker...he told us on this trip he used to sell scallops (which um, I didn't know!) and my Nanny & Pops used to help shuck them (and were at one time FASTER than him)...Whoa! Adam and Trevor help shuck, but it's kindof like an art - to be fast AND keep them intact! Although, Adam and Trevor are WAYYYY better than when they first started, haha! I actually can shuck scallops too (definitely the slowest, by far)...but I think they prefer if I don't help, heehee!
