Giveaway!

GCD Studios has been nice enough to sponsor a fun giveaway for me on the ole blog - white glitter stickers and some green epoxy stickers. Let me tell you, these glitter stickers (available in SO many colors at their website), are awesome...oh, how I love glitter anything!... and you probably know epoxy stickers are my favorite go-to embellishment (I just love the raised, glossy texture!).

Anyways, thank you very much to GCD Studios. If you'd like to win these items, please leave a comment (about anything!) The giveaway will end Friday night at midnight (Central time)!

Enjoy your week! =)

Father's Day Cards (a little late!)

I'm always late in showing cards made for certain holidays, mostly because our families look at the blog occasionally and I like it to be a surprise! Here are the cards I made for Father's Day this past year...the glittery white dear is actually re-purposed from a 2008 Christmas card (I cut it out with a craft knife!

For Adam's Dad... For my daddy...

Check back tomorrow for a giveaway! =)

Thank You Card Round Two

Another quick GCD Studios card...love this polka dot paper (I think it is my very favorite paper). To get this effect, I punch three holes and covered the top inside half of the card with patterned paper so that the paper showed through the holes (and it gives a pop of color inside!). Then I punched contrasting butterflies and added the "Thanks" sentiment! Everything GCD Studios except punches (Martha Stewart!) TFL! Have a happy day! =)

Raaandom Post: Sewing Shirts, Yard Sales and a Card

My first sewing-clothes adventure: I made a shirt for Taylor (using a Target shirt as a pattern) and did pretty good on my sleeve seams, but forgot to hem everything for I sewed the sleeves and sides all up (that was my main worry). Anyways, it's not really the greatest ever but Taylor came home with us a couple Sundays ago and saw it and wanted to put it on. I let her, to see the sizing, etc. It was big anyways. Of course she didn't want to stand still for the camera, so we have roll-on-the-floor-giggling-photo...

Then giggling-HYSTERICALLY-while-Adam-tries-to-"help"-(notreally)-photo...

Then...I-will-stand-here-so-I-can-have-some-bribe-photo (but no smile for you, Auntie Amber!)

But she does smile lots for me later on...look at how big and adorable this girl is. Love her...found this cutie pie skirt at a yard sale for $1 and she wore it to church that night! =)

And randomly, a baby card using the new, fun, totally me line from Michaels (it's a five minute card, because other crafty things are like, um, swallowed by homework, late night crams, house cleaning, working, occasional showering, and classes). You know, life.

Painted Purple Canvas and a Birthday Card!

So my dear, sweet Nanny's birthday was this past Sunday and I made her this:
to go along with this painted canvas...I was really pleased with how this turned out.
And of course, she loved it. I lived next door to my Nanny growing up (and saw her like every day!), and I know that being married and moved away (and insanely, crazily busy all the time) is sometimes hard, cause we don't get to see each other very much at all. But I LOVE YOU NANNY! Lots & Lots! Hugs & Kisses! =)

Hello Monday.

This is a easy little baby present I put together for one of Adam's cousins a while back...I used American Crafts cardstock, pen, and Thickers, velvet ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Martha Stewart's lace punch and patterned paper and tags from Making Memories.

Adam's Birthday!

Last Sunday was Adam's 26th birthday. He had a really good birthday (lots of money and candy and tasty beverages). We went out to eat with his family at Chiles (cause they give you a free dessert of your choice on your birthday!) and took a few pictures outside... (Above) Stephen & Adam...brothers of the heart!
Family Photo (taken by a nice passerby)
It was difficult to keep our eyes open with the lovely, bright sun.
Opening presents...
(I am laughing hysterically because Stephen wrote something funny in the card.)
The reason we love Chiles: they know how to celebrate birthdays in style! (Molten Lava Cake)

Quick Birthday Card

A quick card I made for a challenge over at American Crafts: using American Craft vinyl thickers, Creative Imaginations card, and the chipboard bird, die cut page strip and the PP is all K & Co. (from a new line they have at Michaels, that I bought almost all of - it's so me!...with the giant gift card my awesome Mom gave me for graduation - thanks Mama!)

Frilly Flowers...

Another fun layout...strips of PP, glued down and sewed around...still using up those engagement pictures (I printed so many...'cause they were so GOOD!). Made some "frilly flowers"...I really love making these (!). Lace Punch by Martha Stewart, Cardstock by American Crafts, "&" symbol by Pebbles, Inc., Brads by American Crafts

Happy Thursday!

Quick Layout!

Finally, several days of crafty stuff - these are layouts I had done on our little vacation (while Adam & I hung out in our room til wee hours of the morning...we NEVER do that at home!) that I have finally found time to photograph...school is consuming all my free time right now!

This is entirely American Crafts except for the cut out flowers which are Love, Elsie. (Can you tell I really, really, REALLY like Thickers? Favorite alphabet stickers in the whole world...)

Happy Wednesday!
